Education should base on the experiences that the students have gained, and allow them to discover and feel the significance of mathematics with in a familiar living situation. Therefore, teachers need to be adroit in directing the students to find out the conflicts which can be discussed within the situation, and thereafter propose a solution. In creating a teaching environment can not only enhance efficiency and interests, but stimulate enthusiasm. Thus, as the bridge connecting teaching theory and practice, teaching mode will necessarily walk on stage of teaching reform. The paper, for this reason, dedicates to study the application of setting inquiry teaching mode in Junior middle school Mathematics.The situational exploration teaching mode aims to place the teachers and students in a harmonious and exploratory learning atmosphere, where teachers or students can raise questions for students to actively search for a scientific answer studying, analyzing and solving them through experiments, self-studying or discussion. In this way, the students could be knowledge seekers, developing abilities while acquiring knowledge.The paper consists of six parts. The first part illustrates the background, meaning and current situation of the situational exploration teaching mode, which all contribute to the formation of this study. After analyzing the characteristics of the teaching material, the students and the teaching of junior middle school Mathematics, the second part means to point out the urgency in putting into practice the situational exploration teaching mode. The third part, focusing on the situational exploration teaching mode itself, defines the definition, structure and characteristics of the situational exploration teaching mode and analyzes the guidelines when employing it in practice. The fourth part introduces the cases of Jasper Series and its inspiration on Chinese Junior mathematics teaching. The fifth part designs a teaching case with both advantages and shortages analyzed. The last part proposes views and suggestions for the teachers to employ situational exploratory teaching mode selectively while improving in teaching practices.
