Modern and contemporary prose is an important style of language course in highschool. Whether in the selected dimensions of teaching materials, or in the languageexamination levels, modern and contemporary prose in Chinese teaching in highschools represent an important proportion. Because of its unique style ofcontemporary prose, modern and contemporary prose has a positive role in promotinglanguage literacy of high school students.
