The User Requirements Analysis Of Knowledge Management System For Laboratories In Universities And System Design

The thesis analyzes the process of knowledge acquisition, knowledge creation and knowledge sharing of labs in universities. In order to make efficient use of existing knowledge, a knowledge management system is designed and developed, which substantially improve the efficiency of knowledge creation.According to the triple helix of normal knowledge creation which is different from models under commercial background. a survey is designed and ends up collecting124questionnaires. Then a questionnaire survey system based on reference point approach is developed, resulting in analyzing the most important and critical questions. Then it presents necessary functions of knowledge management system in lab and constructs sub-systems and modules, which are integrated into the knowledge management system available for labs.The thesis applies knowledge management theory to academic research in labs. With the applied case of Polymerization Catalysis and Kinetics Lab of ECUST, it shows the system raises the level of knowledge management and improves the process of knowledge creation.
