Career decision-making self-efficacy is the belief and anticipation of people when they make decisions on career choice. In an individual’s career life career decision-making self-efficacy plays a key role. With the same conditions of ability, career decision-making self-efficacy can affect employment’s success. Countryside undergraduate is a special group in the college. They have backward employment concepts, someone can’t correctly recognized themselves, and they also represent lack of confidence, which will have a direct impact on their career decision-making self-efficacy and career strategy.The survey was a research of370college students from Liaoning Normal University, to survey the circumstance of the countryside undergraduates’career decision-making self-efficacy and self-esteem.Then, group career guidance which is self-work out was used for36countryside undergraduates, to explore an effective approach to enhance the level of countryside undergraduates’career decision-making self-efficacy.This study’s main conclusions were as follows:(1) In general, countryside undergraduates’career decision-making self-efficacy was at a medium level, the scores among individuals were more discrete;(2) Countryside undergraduates’career decision-making self-efficacy and its various dimensions and self-esteem’s level are all lower than college students’who come from urban, and have significant differences;(3) There was no significant difference in gender, grade or subject category in career decision-making self-efficacy of countryside undergraduates.(4) Through the guidance, countryside undergraduates’career decision-making self-efficacy and self-esteem’s level were all improved. The Group Career guidance was effective on improving countryside undergraduates’career decision-making self-efficacy.(5)The guidance is valid and could be used in improving countryside undergraduates’ career decision-making self-efficacy.
