Positive youth development is a new research perspective to seeyoung people growth.The positive youth development perspectiveemphasizes that young people are the main actors of their owndevelopment and organized active is an important factor in promotingpositive development of youth.Through activities,young people not onlydeveloped more psychological capital, such as, self-confidence,enthusiasm, responsibility, but also the closely contact with theirexperience will enhance their socialcapital.Therefore,participation inorganized active is an important situation to promote youth positivedevelopment.School-based club is a very important form amongstudents.What’smore,with the deepening of the China’s education reformand the enhancing autonomy of middle school students,club has became ameaningful form to promote youth positive development.It is animportant theoretical perspective to research how participation inorganized activities may affect the development of young people. But in my opinion,student-based club activities can not be the onlyfactor that improve positive youth development.More important,theprocess of participating in student-based club,the interacting withpeople,the process of dealing with complex issues and the activeexperiences brought them to positive development. Therefore,on thebasis of existing literature,the research methods are questionnaire andin-depth interviews.This paper want to find out the story in the clubs andunderstand the activity experience of the students who are participating inthe clubs and clarify the real promotion factors to young people.Form theperspective of activity experience,this paper will propose some strategiesthat will improve the development of students and really will makeschool-based clubs became the hall for youth.The core question of this study is what’s the real factors andexperiences that promote the positive youth development. The frameworkof this paper is:first of all,make a questionnaire survey among thefreshmen in Changchun universities.In order to understand their situationof participating in the school-based clubs in the middle school. Choosethe students that actively participate in school-based clubs and makein-depth retrospective interviews to understand the stories and experiences.Second,based on the finding,form the perspective ofactivities,this paper will proposed some suggestions for the existing andthe future of clubs development that in order to improve positivedevelopment of young people.
