In recent years, more and more people want to know more about China and tolearn Chinese language. HanBan is strengthening the promotion of Chinese languageteaching, meanwhile, it’s trying to broaden the language communication channels. Inabroad, many countries has produced TV program shows for Chinese languageteaching independently or by collaborating with the Confucius Institutes. In this way,they are showing Chinese learners both the languages and the unique Chinese cultures.In China, CCTV is constantly playing perfectly produced TV programs for learners allover the world, for example the TV program Happy Chinese, mentioned as one of therepresentatives. Happy Chinese program has formed its special advantages, by takingthe form of scene plays, by combining the language study with the culture experience.It aims to help learners setup the contemporary image of China, through introducingChinese culture and demonstrating the modern China. This TV program is anintegration of intuitive, vivid and interesting, and it plays an important role inteaching Chinese as a foreign language.In this thesis, by analyzing China’s lately broadcasted language learning TVprograms, we summarized the advantages of them for Chinese language learning.Therefore, we reached the conclusion that, on theory, TV program teaching waysexpress strong points than the way of Classroom Teaching.Then we studies HappyChinese show from different angles, like topics, corpus, culture etc. Finally, based onall the researches, we tried to give instructional designs about applying TV programsinto Classroom Teaching, wishing to make some efforts for Chinese languageteaching.
