The Present Situation Of The Elderly Service In Erdos Wangfu Road Community

Recently, with the elderly proportion and population risingconstantly, the social problem of aging population becomes more andmore serious day by day in China. The goal that elderly will be lookedafter and provided medical treatment properly, they have somethingworth to do, learn and enjoy is to protect rights and benefits of the elderlyin practical ways. It is not only the requirement can realize the basicpeoples’ rights, but also it becomes the important content in building awell-off society in an all-round way. As our counties powerful economyguarantees, the community never ceases to search for innovations on theaspect of services for elderly people. The spiritual and culturalconstruction is changing in order to offer better service for them as well.The marked improvement in the material life and the two heights periodswhich include high age and high emergencies of diseases aggravate theproblem. Looking after the elderly in family can not meet the satisfactionamong the majority that leads to diverse the service urgently. So far, theproject how to content their instantly needs for diverse culture andimprove the life quality in late life demand the workers to do more.Therefore, the thesis stands form the practical situation ofcommunity work which includes the four main points below. Firstly, thefact that elderly people take part in activities of community. Secondly, thecommunity shows their influences and guide the formation of elderlyassociations. Thirdly, enrich spiritual and cultural life; what’s more,provide daycare and dining table are treated as the research subject. Onthe base of related concept and theory, it reflects problems of providingservices for elderly people that expose in its process with methods ofquestionnaire investigations and depth interviews of the community inWangfu road, A county, Yijinhuoluo banner, Erdos. According to theseviews I put forward some suggestions and the whole thesis is organizedwith three parts: the introduction, the main three chapters and the conclusion.In the introduction, it mainly talked about the research backgroundand meaning, research review and the reach process and method.In the first chapter, I give a brief introduction to the basic situationof Wangfu Road community and the elder people. Firstly, through theinvestigation method of the questionnaire, I analyzed the cultural needs,satisfaction, and the guidance of the project activity of the elder people inthe community. Secondly, through the depth interview of staffs of theactivity center and the elder people, i know their evaluation of communityactivities.The second chapter, I found problems among the elder people in thecommunity through the analysis of the obtain from Wangfu Roadcommunity elderly sports and entertainment center based on the analysisof the rearch of community activity center.In the third chapter, I propose the thought of strengthening WangfuRoad community services for the elder people. People should make fulluse of social resources, improve staffs’ level of professional services,strengthen community students’ quality, and strengthen the constructionof teamwork. At the same time, people should learn effectivelyprofessional social work methods and skills in order to solve theproblems of the elder people in community. In the conclusion part, Iclarify the conclusions of this thesis, at the same time I analyze andexplain innovations and shortcomings of this thesis objectively.Key words activity centres for the elderly of community in Wangfuroad; the construction of recreational and sports activities; the social workfor the elderly people.
