In the background of the reform of basic education curriculum in our country, construction of geography curriculum resources has gradually become the high lights in the study of theory research and practice in the education sector. Current, to further carry out requirement of the new geography course standard for "fully development and use the geographic curriculum resources, rich geography curriculum content, enhance the vitality of geography teaching", needs strive for theoretical research and accumulating practical experience for a long time.In view of the current research is mostly focused on the city, the study on geography curriculum resources of the rural middle school is relatively marginalized, there are many problems in the construction of geography curriculum resources of rural middle school. such as a large number of valuable geographic resources in rural areas has not been effectively used and cause the resources are idle and waste. Based on this situation, This research stand in the angle of the development and utilization of geography curriculum resources in rural middle school, launches the research on how to improve the level of construction about geography curriculum resources in rural middle school, it has a certain significanceThis study relies on the curriculum reform of basic education, based on the subject characteristics of geographic, to support with the new geography curriculum standards, constructivism and cognitive learning theory. Through the investigation and literature review on developing and utilizing the geography curriculum resources of the rural middle school. Find that there are many problems in development and utilization of geography curriculum resources in rural middle school, and analysis of its causes. Finally, combined with the actual rural areas, put forward the relevant countermeasures and suggestions from the aspects of principle, content, way, security system of the development and utilization of rural geography curriculum resources.Based on the above research ideas and philosophy, the study is divided into the following sections:The first part, Introduction. The part does a systematic exposition about the topics of reason, significance, and related research.The second part, overview of the theory about the Geography Curriculum Resources Development and Utilization. This section mainly elaborates not only the connotation and classification of the geography curriculum resources, but also the concept of modern geography curriculum, the theoretical basis and significance of geography curriculum resources development and utilization.The third part, investigation and analysis about the geography curriculum resources development and utilization in rural secondary school. This part take the survey of some rural middle school geography teacher in Sichuan Province for an example, investigate the problems and reasons in the current the geographical curriculum resources development and utilization process.The survey found some problems:The first problem is that geography curriculum resources is lack of, but in a certain extent, there are some idle and waste; Second, geography teachers’ resources consciousness is weak; Third, the capacity of development and utilization of school and the teachers is lack of; Fourth, the content of development and utilization is obsolete, and the method is single. Investigating its reasons, on the one hand is because the wrong curriculum concept of the geography teachers, and their ability is insufficient, on the other hand, because the support from outside is not enough.The fourth part, divided into four chapters, puts forward countermeasures from four aspects to develope and utilize rural secondary school geography curriculum resources.First is the principles of development and utilization of geography curriculum resources in rural middle school, including the consistency principle, pertinence principle, open principle, the principle of localization and so on;Followed by is the content of development and utilization of geography curriculum resources in rural middle school, including human resources, local geography curriculum resources, recessive geography curriculum resources, information geography curriculum resources and text curriculum resources such as geographical teaching material;Once again is the way of development and utilization of geography curriculum resources in rural middle school, specific including, setting up multiple participate subjects about the resources development and utilization, strengthen the teachers’ professional development, improve the ability of the resources development and utilization, Write local teaching material, and fully develop local curriculum resources, innovative ways, and develop geographical course resources Through various channels, Deepen the resources integration, construct the geography curriculum resource library, etc. And put forward some related problems that should be paid attention.Finally is the guarantee system of development and utilization of geography curriculum resources, including policy support, funding support and ideological guarantee and technical support, and so on.
