At present, one common stock management style is the company in up stream anddown stream mange respective stock, the accompanying problem is because of the non-transparent of the stock level in each company, which lead to many issue happen, one of avery common issue is long whip effect.This article through analyze the supplier chain in automotive industry, study the Mcompany supplier chain status, build current supplier chain logistic cost model and takemathematic analysis. In further step, the article by means of the solution analysis, bring theVMI stock management style leaded by supplier, and through the model effectivenessanalysis, intend to degrease the long whip effect in auto engine system supplier chain to agreat extent. And meanwhile, through the deducing by formula, has the conclusion thatsimple VMI not able to solve all problem, especially not able to save the cost for the upstream supplier remarkable, so, base on the actual supplier chain of M company, the articleintroduce the TPL+VMI and build the model accordingly, through the formula deducting,finally find a good solution to solve the problem which we met before.The Chapter one give a brief introduce for the structure and study point of the article,Chapter two introduce some common stock model by means of review current supplierchain definition and structure, and state the cause of long whip effect and research resultfor the moment. Chapter three state M company engine supplier chain status. Chapter foranalyze the fault of current supplier chain according to Chapter three model, and introduceVMI model and build the model for analysis.
