In the context of globalization and fiercer competition, enterprise must response to all kinds of crisis from environment,market,competitors, etc agilely and effectively. It is hard to sustain if only relying on own power. Try to unite dynamic alliances with upstream and downstream enterprises who share the same ambitions and purposes. Take advantages of respective core competence. Establish strategic partnership based on cooperation and trust. As a result, entire supply chain delivers optimal value to customers with the lowest cost. Furthermore, enhance the overall supply chain ability of value-added and increase competitiveness.Supplier plays an important role for the supply chain which is no less than customer does. Supplier is the source power. The performance of supplier involves in accomplishment of strategic goal of enterprise and then affects the efficiency and benefit of supply chain. Therefore, it is essential to regard supplier as extended resources. Conduct lean management. Set up strategic partnership and keep it relatively stable. Complement each other. Optimize business process. Strive for excellence. Eventually realize win-win.This thesis aims to explore an improved solution for DEUTZ (Dalian) Engine Co., Ltd to perform supplier management with supply chain concept. Through literature review, comparing the practice of manufacturing industry in Japan and China, get following schemes.Reconstruct the mode of supplier management. Implement reverse marketing principle. Rearrange and classify suppliers. Selectively develop strategic partnership. Make full preparations, such as integrate information sharing,reengineer business process,unify system and standard. Provide supplier with aid and support of technology,capital etc. Collaborate sincerely and promote jointly. Emphasize on supplier serial evaluation and risk control. Maintain the enthusiasm and vitality of mutual cooperation.DEUTZ (Dalian) Engine Co., Ltd always persists in continuous improvement strategically, endeavors to pursue optimal process and excellent management model. Hope this thesis could serve a reference to perfect his supply chain.
