Study On The Performance Of Port Enterprises

Beyond all doubt, port is the foundation of national economy. In the background of rapid development of economic globalization, how to measure scientifically the performance of port enterprises by using reasonable, accurate, objective evaluating methods, becomes a hot issue for a great many diligent researchers all over the world. On the basis of previous studies, the thesis applies the BSC-EM-AHP evaluating method to construct the index system and to measure the performance of port enterprises, and at last the BSC-EM-AHP method is applied to ten port enterprises in China.Firstly, this paper introduces the reader to the system of the enterprise performance evaluation theory framework, which is included by related theory, supporting theory and core theory. On the basis of research achievements, it is put forward to the concept of enterprise performance evaluation and take an analysis of the particularity when evaluating port enterprises performance.Secondly, the thesis reviewed the research results of the experts and scholars both home and abroad, and took the BSC-EM-AHP method applied to evaluating ports. The idea of BSC-EM-AHP evaluation method is, to use the balanced scorecard (BSC) to constructing evaluation index system, and to use the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) to get the index weights, as well as to use the matter element analysis method of extension mathematics to get its comprehensive correlation degree and the evaluation results. According to the principle of designing port enterprises performance evaluation index, the thesis took use of the balanced scorecard tools in finance aspect, customer aspect, internal business process aspect and learning and growth aspect, in order to constructing evaluation index system, which is consisted of17evaluation index in total. The thesis also summarized evaluation methods, such as neural network and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, finally combined extension evaluation method and analytic hierarchy process together to measure the performance of ports.Thirdly, the thesis selected10ports enterprises:Yingkou Port, Jinzhou Port, Dalian Port, Tianjin Port, Shanghai Port, Rizhao Port, Ningbo Port, Wuhu Port, Tangshan Port and Lian yungang Port, acquiring the relevant data and carrying on the enterprise performance evaluation. The results show that Tianjin Port, Shanghan Port, Ningbo Port belonged to the "Outstanding Stage"; the evaluation for the Dalian, Tangshan, Rizhao Port got the "Good Stage", the performance evaluation of the Yingkou, Jinzhou, Lian yungang Port belonged to "Medium Stage", and the Wuhu port was at the bottom.
