Social Assessment Of Inter-city Railway From The Perspective Of Main Stakeholders’ Satisfaction

With the improving of the transportation technology, the inter-city railway becomes the main trend of the development of transportation. The inter-city railway has speed, good safety and comfort, high accuracy, low energy consumption, reasonable price, transport capacity and environmental protection characteristics. It also can effectively promote the communication between regions and material, help with population flow; promote the city culture and communication between knowledge.The paper sum up the general theory of social assessment firstly, analyze its characteristics and main research steps secondly, choose appropriate cases to put the theory of participatory survey into practice thirdly, and draw the conclusion with appropriate explanation finally.The research results show that the inter-city railway has been widely accepted with a high satisfaction level close to the good level. Although there are some not good enough and need to change in the future, the inter-city railway has already been accepted by society.Among factors influencing the stakeholders’ satisfaction, the price becomes the main factor to influence the satisfaction. From the passengers’ perspective, whether their payment could get corresponding service is an important standard for them to evaluate the price of tickets. From this reason, the feeling of service and product quality has become into a key point. For inter-city railway, striving to improve the quality of service in a reasonable price level is an effective path to improve the satisfaction and image.
