Job stress has become global hot issues. Now, China is in transition, changes in social structure, changes in social pattern, the interests of re-adjustment, the accelerated pace of life, the impact of various trends of thought have made people’s thoughts and behavior a series of changes. If job stress is too high of individuals, it will bring serious consequences to individuals, organizations and even the society. Recently, a series of related investigations have shown that our employees are facing increasing stress, Knowledge Workers in particular. We know job stress has close relationship with their work performance and the physiological and psychological health. Stress management toward Knowledge Workers has been an important issue in Human Resource Management.Research in the field of job stress has been made a great deal of progress, but only in the simple study between stressor and stress response, such as a relatively simple research between them.At the same time, the mechanism for the job stress of the intermediate process is still scarce.Therefore, this research attempts to construct a researching model that comprises occupational stressor as argument, coping style as intermediate variable and the job performance taken as the outcome variable. This model aims to adequately the study status quo, its internal structure and management mechanism of Knowledge Workers.This research used questionnaire survey methods to investigate257Knowledge Workers, the survey responses including the collected data and all kinds of information, are analyzed by the SPSS16.0statistical software package. The conclusions were as follows:First, the job stressor of knowledge workers includes four factors:occupation career development, relationship, work character and task, management of organization. It is differfrom non-knowledge workers.Second, in individual side, some factors of personal background will influence the stressor, work performance and coping style. However the other factors won’t influence them.At last, it is discovered that job stressor of Knowledge Workers has positive correlation with work performance, while not every dimensions works like that. It shows that it makes sense only when the analysis of the impact of stressors on the outcome variables is decomposed to specific dimensions. To furtherly explore the causalty between the different dimensions and the outcome variables, it is studied in this paper that regulation role of the coping style to the the causal relationship of stressors(in all dimentions or partially).This causality steer to further research on job stress manipulating mechanism when the" black box", underlying impact of job stressor on the outcome variables, is partially opened. At the same time, coping style has regulating effect between them.Basing on the conclusion done in this papers so far, some suggestions are proposed for the effeetiveness of organizationl management been haneed.
