The Selection Study Of Guangxi Undertaking The Transfer Of Themanufacturing Industry From Guangdong

This paper is based on the specific form of economic development:with the cost of labor and land rising, environment bearing bottleneck restriction, the foreign trade order reducing under a weak economy, and energy shortage in Guangdong province, some industries in the Pearl River Delta has become disadvantaged. Therefore, they are looking for space to survive, and transferred to the lower gradient regions, which will provide room for optimizing the industrial structure of Guangdong, undertaking international technology and transferring knowledge intensive industry.Guangxi is just entering the middle stage of industrialization in the critical stage of the vigorously developed industry. In addition, it lies in the Pan-Pearl River Delta region, meanwhile, it has many advantages undertaking the Guangdong industrial transfer. Therefore, making good preparations actively for transferring industry of the Pearl River Delta economy of Guangxi plays a significant role for the economic development.Our country’s macroeconomic policy guidelines proposed in Eleventh Fifth Plenary Session:stabilize growth, control prices, adjust structure, benefit people, catch reform, and promote harmony. It is clear that optimizing the country’s industrial structure has been risen to the national strategic level. In addition, the central government will provide a large number of preferential policies in specific industrial transfer. Therefore, various regions will respond to the call of the party to form the tide of industrial transfer and the formation of industrial migration.As the main industrial transfer is manufacturing in secondary industry, the primary, tertiary industry and construction industry accounts for less, so this paper mainly study problems appeared in Guangxi undertaking the transfer of the manufacturing industry in Guangdong.This paper includes four chapters. Chapter one review the theories of industrial transfer. Chapter two analyze the urgence of developing manufacturing vigorously in Guangxi, undertaking feasibility of the transfer of manufacturing in Guangdong, and the favorable conditions. Chapter three firstly analyze what industries Guangxi should undertake from Guangdong according to the relative industrial gradient of active and passive clustering index from two respects:Guangxi and Guangdong; secondly select the favorable industries for economic development according to the degree of industrial linkage and principal component analysis from Guangxi’s own point; thirdly put the corresponding industrial layout into the region according to the theory of the existing industrial park in Guangxi and industrial agglomeration. Chapter four propose some suggestions according to the problems existed in transfer.This research analyze from the quantitative and qualitative angles in order to make the analysis more objective and scientific. Guangxi is in the critical phase, hoping that the author can help the government make a decision and do a little contribution to the society.
