East China covers the warm and subtropical climatic zones and shows greatvariation in the temporal and spatial distribution regularities. Although rich in tourismresources, the tourism activity still can not goes on well if the climate and weather isnot very good, so it values a lot both to the tourism operator who are managing thetourism activity and the tourist who want to choose the best travel place in the propertime. This paper investigate the temporal and spatial distribution of the tourismclimate comfortableness using East China as the researching area. This paper used themonthly average climatological data(including monthly average temperature, humanity, sunshine duration and wind speed) of30years from132whether station inEast China, calculated THI and K based on software interpolation technology, got theclimate comfort charts of East China at a1km×1km grid size, furthermore analyzedthe spatial distribution regularities and comfortableness of each month. Finally got thecomfortable period of East China. The main conclusions are as follows:(1) The THI and K spatial distribution of East China shows great difference everymonths, but THI are more close to the reality, the comfort level of K shows that it havea better results during spring and autumn but in summer and winter the results can notreflect reality very well.(2) The southeast part of Fujian province have the longest comfortable periodwhich covers8to9months throughout the whole year, place that suitable for travel for5months have the largest area which covers almost half of East China. The spatialvariability in spring and autumn have the greatest difference, then goes to summer, thedifference in winter is the smallest. During the whole year, May and October have the largest area which suitable to outdoor tourism, and it almost cover the whole place,January have the smallest area that suitable for outdoor tourism.(3) The unsuitable travel period in East China because of hot weather usually startfrom June to September, among which July and August have the largest area whichcovers most of East China. The unsuitable travel period in East China because of coldweather usually start from November to March the year after, among which December,January, and February have the largest area which are unsuitable for traveling.(4) The tourism climate comfort level change a lot under different emissionscenarios in the future100years. As climate warming aggravate all the years, thetourism comfort level also change a lot. The area that suitable for travel graduallyincrease as the emission continuously increase in winter, while the area that suitablefor travel gradually decrease in summer. The changing of the comfort level are morecomplicated during spring and autumn, the area that suitable for travel graduallyincrease in March, April and November, but in May, September and October itgradually decrease.
