Study On Drive And Protection Countermeasure Of Cultivated Land Change In Metropolitan Rapid Growing District

Cultivated land change plays a key role in regional land use change, which reflects basic state of regional social and economic development. Metropolitan rapid growing district locates between urban area and suburb, which has important functions for city, including food insurance, ecological security, and so on. However, in the course of urbanization and industrialization, construction land is outspreading with rapid economic growth, which makes cultivated land face a dilemma that it is used in city construction or agriculture. Therefore, it is important both in theory and practice that study on drive and protection countermeasure of change of cultivated Land in metropolitan rapid growing district.It’s base for the study that analysis on the process of social and economic growth and cultivated land use of the rapid growing district. So the paper, firstly, analyzes social economic background of Jiangning from location situation and social economic development. Its growth trail is divided into three periods:primary stage, growth underway stage and rapid growing stage, and its cultivated land use is discussed from distribution, structure buildup and its transformation, quantity change, and so on.Then, this paper pays more attention to study on drive factors of cultivated land change in the district, a case of Jiangning, Nanjing. Based on analysis on drive factors and its function mechanism of cultivated land change, the paper talks about general and principal drive factors:general ones include natural factors and social economical factors; it is up to a result from principal component analysis that gross domestic production and urbanization are two main driving force, which cumulative contribution rate of the two driving force attains99.246percent. It is also validated by regressive analysis.From the above analysis, some conclusion are found:(1) The object of cultivated land protection involves not only present cultivated land but also other farmland which can be transformed into cultivated land. Cultivated land protection shouldn’t just think over grain problem, and should be ready for construction of full rich life.(2) It is shown that cultivated land reduces rapidly in the course of speedy economic growth, which is a strong impact on cultivated land protection.(3) Economic growth is main drive force for cultivated land change in the metropolitan rapid growing district, thus the countermeasure should pay more attention to the course of economic growth.(4) On the back of economic growth, there are more deep-seated reasons, system and policy as a example, to be explored. Finally, some countermeasure are put forward for cultivated land protection in the metropolitan rapid growing district.
