Currently the global economy is going down. Affected by the macro economic circumstance, China meets many problems in its economic development. In the day of emphasizing the innovation system construction by the government, Chinese companies need to further improve the ability of high-tech innovation and technology application. Knowledge economy leads to knowledge management. A company can conform to knowledge economy and improve its core competitiveness only by application of knowledge management. Knowledge management, especially the management in the process of knowledge creation, will be helpful to the development of knowledge economic society.Terminal crimping equipments belong to cable harness equipments industry, whose main characteristic is large application scope with low entry level. Although there are many domestic manufacturers who can provide applicators with quite good quality, most of them are copying Japanese style products, and focusing on low-middle end market, while high-end market is still overwhelmed by some international brands. This article researches on the process of knowledge creation in the development of terminal crimping applicators, for domestic companies’reference in cable harness making equipment industry through analysis of affective factors and helpful conditions in applicator development and explore of knowledge creation models. With knowledge creation theory and SECI model, by comparison of evaluation of respective stage’s result before and after using the model, it reveals that the model is helpful in improve of applicator development’s efficiency, quality, marketing value and technical issues.
