Chongqing Performance And Influencing Factors Of Tourism Research

Since the Chinese reform and opening up after the late1970s, Chinese tourismeconomic activity has been in a good momentum of sustained and rapid development.With the rapid development of tourism economic activity, the status of tourism in thenational economy is increasing and has become a new growth point in Chinesenational economy. As now, in many areas, tourism has become a pillar industry orleading industry of the region’s economic development, Chongqing is no exception.The potential of tourism development can not be ignored and we must requires a clearunderstanding of the Chongqing Tourism Development, finding the main factors thatinfluence the development of Chongqing tourism, making a reasonable plan to achievesustainable development of Chongqing tourism, thereby to stimulate the entire region’seconomic development. This paper from the perspective of industrial economics, toestablishing the tourism economic performance evaluation system, and from the twosides that basic elements and tourism industry elements to find the main factors thatinfluence the performance of Chongqing tourism, and study the relationship betweeninfluencing factors and performance. Based on the findings, some policies that enhancethe performance of Chongqing tourism have been posed.Firstly, this paper briefly introduces the research’s background and significance,as well as the domestic and international literature review, summarizes the previousresults of studies and inadequacies; Secondly, describes the basic theoretical of thisstudy and the previous scholars’ research methods. Thirdly, from earn foreignexchange, increase the income, promote employability, increase fiscal revenue capacity,and the tourism industry in attracting and tourists capacity, the six aspects toperformance evaluation index system based on the principles of index selection.Recommend the concept of information entropy in the entropy theory and evaluateChongqing tourism performance in2000-2009using the entropy method. Fourthly,using the multiple regression analysis method to analysis the main influencing factorsof performance. Lastly, pose some policy recommendations to enhance theperformance of tourism in Chongqing based on correlation analysis, srive to achievesustainable tourism development in Chongqing.
