30years of reform and opening-up, China’s economic developmenthas made significant achievements. New ventures played a pivotal role inpromoting economic growth and development. However, in the context ofChina’s transitional economy, the business environment showing a greaterlevel of uncertainty, the entrepreneur is difficult to rely on priorknowledge to match opportunities and resources. In such a complexenvironment, entrepreneurs need to keep learning, continue to acquirenew knowledge in order to improve the effectiveness of entrepreneurialbehavior and then get a entrepreneurial success. Based on theresource-based theory, experiential learning theory and cognitive learningtheory, in-depth study of the relationship between entrepreneuriallearning and performance of new ventures, building a model of therelationship among entrepreneurial learning、entrepreneurial capabilitiesand new venture performance. Meanwhile, through the questionnairesurvey, using SPSS to analysis returned questionnaires statistically, inorder to verify the underlying assumptions. Finally, discusses the progressof theory and practical significance of this study, posing research gapsand future research prospects,for people trying to start a business or entrepreneurship has a certain reference value.The main content of the study can be summarized as the followingsectionsThe first part is literature review, this section introduces the basictheory of resource-based theory, experiential learning theory, cognitivelearning theory, and on this basis, we study of the meaning and dimensionof the key variables of entrepreneurial learning, entrepreneurial capacity,new venture performance. The literature review can provide strongtheoretical support of research model and assumptions.The second part is model construction and the assumption. Thissection first discusses the relationship between entrepreneurial learningand performance of new ventures, entrepreneurial learning is the sourcesof knowledge and information entrepreneur acquired, but different typesof knowledge and information obtained by the different learning styles.Therefore, different learning styles will be influence on the performanceof new ventures differently. Based on these ideas, we pose assumptionsthat different learning styles affect the performance of new ventures.Entrepreneurial learning process is to build and enhance the process ofentrepreneurial capacity, so we study the entrepreneurial capacity of anintermediary role between the entrepreneurial learning and performanceof new ventures.The third part is the empirical study, in this section, we first introduce the questionnaire design and data collection process, then,using the SPSS software to analysis recovery data followed by aquestionnaire validation, correlation analysis and regression analysis. Thedata analysis showed that an assumption is not through the test while theremaining eight assumptions all through the test, the theoretical model iscorrect.The main conclusions of this study are: experiential learning andcognitive learning both have a positive influence on performance of newventures; entrepreneurial capacity (ability to identify opportunities,resource management capability) plays a fully mediated role on therelationship between experiential learning and new ventures performance;Ability to identify opportunities plays an partial intermediary role on therelationship between cognitive learning and new ventures performance;Resource management capabilities plays no obvious intermediary role onthe relationship between cognitive learning and new venturesperformance.This research has some innovation. First innovation: From theperspective of the ability to explain the entrepreneurship learning process,build a model of the relationship between entrepreneurial learning,entrepreneurial capability and new venture performance. Entrepreneuriallearning process is not only a process of accumulation of knowledge, buta process of ability to enhance. Entrepreneurs as a core role of new venture, his entrepreneurial capability to enhance is key to businesssuccess, entrepreneurial learning is a key channel for entrepreneurs toenhance entrepreneurial capability, from a ability perspective can betterreveal the mechanism of the impact of entrepreneurial learning on newventure performance.Second innovation: In this paper, we comb the entrepreneuriallearning and entrepreneurial capability, empirical study the relationshipbetween entrepreneurial learning, entrepreneurial capability and newventure performance, enrich and expand the content of entrepreneuriallearning and entrepreneurial capability.Third innovation: From the individual perspective of theentrepreneur, study the relationship between the individual-levelentrepreneurial learning, entrepreneurial capacity and new ventureperformance. For new ventures, the organizational structure has not beenperfect, it is difficult to form an effective organizational learning andknowledge sharing, new ventures based on learning-oriented ofindividual entrepreneurs, and thus affect the performance of the venture.Therefore, from the perspective of individual entrepreneurs, are betterable to explain entrepreneurial learning effect on the performance of newventures.
