| New Oriental Education and Technology Group was founded in1993, and becomes the most impact education group accompanied with the development of Chinese economy and society. In2006, New Oriental has been listed in NYSE and become the first Chinese education company. In2012, the market value of New Oriental reached more than$4billion and become the biggest education company in the world. Up to February,2013, New Oriental has already trained more than20million students. New Oriental has become the model of Chinese education companies and effects the development of education training industry. The corporate culture formed during the period of New Oriental development, has a very important influence to New Oriental. Top teacher culture, humorous and encouragement has become the synonymous of New Oriental, which helped New Oriental establish a nice word-of mouth effect.New Oriental started a new development stage after listed in2006. Abundant of capital makes New Oriental has the ability to rapid expand though new learning center construction, purchase and merger. However, the repaid expanding is deviated from New Oriental traditional corporate culture. As an education company, the core development driving force should be education quality level and service level promotion and customer experience upgrade, but not excessive marketing and simple large-scale expanding.Repaid expansion has already brought many problems, mainly include: management mode and personnel training lagging can’t fit the expansion of New Oriental. New Oriental changed the traditional culture marketing into market-oriental operation to ensure more revenue at the cost of teaching quality level reducing.This paper adopts the method of empirical research and theoretical analysis research, to expound the problems about New Oriental’s corporation culture. Through the analysis of New Oriental’s corporation culture, I try to make a solution to these problems and provide a reference to help the company to make its strategies. The transition period in this paper, one side intend the process of New Oriental from a small school to a big listed company, on the other hand, it intend the time horizon of the corporation culture research. |
