Labor Supply And Demand Analysis Of Chongqing Under The Background Of Population Aging

An important factor of production labor as social and economic development, workers topromote the socio-economic development, socio-economic development is inseparable fromthe participation of the workers. With the changes in the structure of China’s population aswell as rapid economic development, far-reaching study labor market supply and demandrelationship.In this paper, the degree of aging of the country’s population is the most seriousChongqing as a sample, demography and economics, interdisciplinary research methods, First,analysis of current supply and demand on the Chongqing aging context of labor, research inthe context of the deepening degree of population aging, labor resources advantage is soontransformed into social and family of the burden of an aging population. Second, using themeasurement to quantify the number of labor supply and demand in the coming2011-2030Chongqing Economic Law, from the analysis of future population aging, dependency ratio,labor force age structure of the labor supply, the results show that Chongqing degree ofpopulation aging in the future to further deepen dependency burden further increase thenumber of working-age population was declining trend, and the future of the economyremains the rapid pace of development, will greatly increase the demand for labor. Can bedrawn by the results of the labor supply and demand forecasts, Chongqing future labor marketsupply and demand situation, a state of oversupply in2014, and after2014the labor gap, andlabor demand is greater than supply. The gap will be increasing. Based on this analysis factorsaffect labor supply and demand balance, and liabilities population aging on social andeconomic development. In this paper, the results of labor supply and demand in Chongqing, tomake appropriate policy recommendations from the short-term and medium-term analysis, topromote full employment of the population, in the short term to ease the employment pressure,mainly from the following aspects:(1) to encourage the development of SMEs, to absorbmore surplus labor;(2) to accelerate the development of urbanization, expanding employmentcapacity;(3) to enhance the level of consumption, stable employment levels. Recognize thetrend of the mid-to long-term vision of development, prepared in advance, to achieve the healthy development of the population and the sustainable and stable development of theeconomy for the population liabilities arrival period. Major development strategies:(1) tomaintain the momentum of rapid economic growth, and reduce the burden of social pressure;(2) to accelerate the momentum of scientific and technological progress, adjust and optimizethe industrial structure;(3) to increase investment in human capital, and improve the qualityof workers;(4) to relax the policy of birth, to increase the number of labor supply in the future;(5) timely adjustment of the upper age limit of labor, development and utilization of theelderly resources; Finally, to strengthen the perfection of the social security and coverage.
