Preparation Of Gardenia Blue And Administration On Medical Device Sterile Laboratory

Gardenia fruits contain valuable natural food colorants including crocins (gardeniayellow) and geniposide (which can be transformed to gardenia blue pigment). In this study,a process was developed to produce gardenia blue. Geniposide and sodium glutamate wasapplied using cellulose as catalyst, and accumulation ratio of color value together with highperformance gel filtration chromatography was used to evaluate reaction process. Criticalreaction parameters, including temperature, feeding material ratio, time were optimized aswell as comparision between one-step and two-step process method. Optimal reactionparameters were thus established as follows: one-step method was applied, feeding ratio ofgeniposide: sodium glutamate: cellulase proportion was8:2:1, reaction temperature was setto be50C, reaction time96h. Final reaction liquor was further loaded on D101macroporous resin, eluted with10%ethanol to give gardenia blue with high purity. Theprocess developed was simple, efficient, low-cost and easy scale-up, which provide someclues for the relevant industrial production.Medical devices, including daily injection apparatus and man-made human organicdevices, are critical devices serving for human health. Sterile laboratories are basic placesfor sterile tests as well as bacteria assays of majorities of these medical devices. Standardstate administration guidance on sterile laboratories should be followed strictly to ensurequality of their reporting results. This paper discusses the concepts and construction designprinciples of sterile laboratories, together with their good management rules, according tothe regulation standards of GB50073-2013, GB19489-2008, GB50346-2004and author’sexperiences. These suggestions could be helpful for good administration of sterilelaboratories in China.
