With the social economy and urbanization continuous development, the city linear is ourcountry in recent years developed a kind of common urban space form, has its own typicalcharacteristics, including urban land use pattern and spatial structure, unique traffic features,etc. Linear city expanding, on the space theory of city of development to now, both in conceptand in the evolution of urban form has a new direction and new theory. This article mainresearch medium-sized linear from a single center to polycentric development period, studythe main center of the urban traffic system. City center is the intersection of the cityinformation and logistics is the origin of urban development. New center, referred to in thisarticle refers to an entire function part, the size is similar to the old center. Through theliterature, periodicals and other about extension of medium linear by the single center tocollecting and analysis of urban traffic, urban form, urban space structure, land use, transportand traffic demand characteristics of traffic characteristics for data analysis.Through analyzing secondary band urban traffic characteristics and typical band analogyanalysis of urban space characteristics, found by mononuclear to multicore middle band in theevolution of the urban structure of space and time evolution characteristics is the coredevelopment area in the direction of land use restrictions allow extension; New cityagglomeration in the initial period of development ability is not strong, the city function needto gradually form, must from the core to form a dual core, rely on the old sweat evolution.Through the middle band analogy to get this kind of urban transportation challengesurban traffic parameters and characteristics is the core in the adjustment of land, the difficultto original; Easy happening peak traffic congestion; Urban belt widened the travel distance tothe development, residents’ travel times, average travel distance and travel time will increasesignificantly; New core development initial period, the traffic demand is still mainlyconcentrated in the old core development area; With new core development, between the corearea of travel demand rapid increase, between the new and old core axial artery will focus alot of traffic, peak traffic pressure will be too large; New area development gradually mature,new and old core interval ties more closely, a new core internal travel increases.For this period of urban spatial structure and traffic characteristics of urban traffic systemconstruction key points is the transportation that USES partition differentiation strategy andregional transportation integration development train of thought: the old core is given priorityto with to improve traffic, the new city to build a sustainable road network system of buspriority and the balanced development and people-oriented slow traffic integration system;Traffic integration hubs and corridors with development much attention, from thetransportation concept, target, pattern, method to implement aspects of adjustment.Based onurban land use pattern led by the traffic mode selection, the reasonable structure of road network, to guide land use layout of public transport, low carbon sustainable slow traffic,static traffic and focusing on the parking function integration of freight and logisticstransportation system planning method.Relying on the tongchuan city urban comprehensive transportation planning project,based on the residents and so on many traffic survey, urban comprehensive transportationplanning model is established, the characteristics of urban spatial evolution characteristics andtraffic situation of development strategy and traffic system planning point is verified,quantitative analysis shows that the proposed method on single-core to multicoredevelopment the middle band of the city is effective, with strong pertinence.
