Han Tomb Murals,as Chinese artistic heritige, occupy an important historical place in National Art History, which demostrate the social life of Han Dynasty vividly and describe the brilliant artistic traditions in China.Horinger’s Han Tomb Murals are the most important partial of East Han Dynasty tomb murals,from which we can figure out that people at that time could outline smooth curves with writing brush skillfully, use the color maturally,and describe people’s facial expressions and life from the front and side.the relaitonship among charaters is clear and the screen layout is well proportioned. Anyway this intelligent and natural painting style has greatly influenced later paintings.Horinger’s Han Tomb Murals fully show that Since ancient times China is a unified multi-ethnic country. The content of the tomb murals is very rich, which represents social economy, national relations,lifestyle and art activities of Han Dynasty, especially the social life of the North multiethnic area.as a mirror of the soceity of East Han,it provides abundant data for the study of the Social History of Han Dynasty.In the recent hundred of years,there are a lot of articles about highlighting Han Tomb Murals.based on this, For a lot of research and Lingle tomb murals and more concise, refining, with a high degree of generality, omitted a lot of content, some problems also failed to expand and in-depth. In this paper, starting from the point of view of the history and culture, both times, the regional aspect, and Lingle tomb murals ideological background, ideology, artistic achievements and its image on the basis of the experts and scholars research, and strive, for further analysis discusses the origins of the style; the other hand, the traditional visual image and Lingle tomb murals symbols and design combine to explore a new study.The paper compares Horinger’s Han Tomb Murals with the Central Plains’, discusses the differece and connection between them comprehensively, and extracts the traditional visual image symbols of Horinger’s Han Tomb Murals to the contemporary public art design.The history of Han Tomb Murals is less than one hundred years, that means it is a Relatively new academic field and we should spare more efforts on it. Horinger’s Han Tomb Murals has peeled off through years of neglect and demaged by ransacking. As a result of that, most of the paintings have already can’t be recognized. Most of the studies about Horinger’s Han Tomb Murals belong to comprehensive description researches, which lack intensive description and analysis on mural image interpretation,the form and style, especially ues the traditional visual image symbols into the contemporary public art design. These questions are worthy of in-depth study, which this paper focuses on.
