Chinese is the representative of isolating language in which language order is one of theimportant way to express grammatical meaning. However, Spanish is one of inflectionallanguage in which inflections is the main way to express grammatical relations. Differentfunctions and positions of language order in these two languages leads to many order errorswhen Ecuadorian students learnt Chinese. So the author collected some language corpusduring the process of teaching Chinese in Ecuador. After sorting out the reference materials,the author found the errors about adverbial order was remarkably obvious. According tocontrastive analysis, inter language theory and errors analysis, it contrasts the adverbial orderbetween Chinese and Spanish, analyzes the reason about the adverbial order errors ofstudents and proposes advice to solve these problems. This paper is divided into five parts.The first part: Introduction. Firstly, the study of teaching Chinese for native Spanishspeakers is inadequate. As for native Spanish speakers, emphasis word orders and teaching onword orders are fairly important and necessary. Secondly, it states the topic basis of thisarticle, research range and research method. Then it introduces research results of languageorder in modern Chinese and research results of errors about word order from Ecuadorianstudents. Lastly, it is the innovation and inadequacy of this paper.The second part: The comparison between modern Chinese and Spanish adverbial. First,it explains delimitation in these two languages. Then it states components respectively whichcan be adverbial in these two language and the different positions of adverbial in them.The third part: Enumerating students’ error types of adverbial order. It mainly dividessingle adverbial errors and multiple adverbial errors. The result shows the most evident errorof Ecuadorian students is that they put adverbial behind predicate or put at the end ofsentence.The fourth part: Analyzing the reason of students’ errors from the angles of SecondLanguage Acquisition Theory, students, school administration, etc.The fifth part: Based on students’ errors, it offers some advice to teachers, teachingmethods, text books, etc in order to reduce adverbial order errors.
