Under the trend of globalization, education has also taken on a “go global and bring in”mode, introducing high-quality teaching resources and extending exchanges and cooperationwith countries that enjoys a well-developed education. That’s how the cooperative educationcomes. In carrying out the cooperation process, interpreters play an important role inintroducing and publishing the cooperation program. How to cope with this kind ofinterpreting task deserves a thorough study. This thesis aims to answer this question based onthe analysis of a personal interpreting experience in the introduction of cooperative educationprogram between Hebei University and University of Central Lancashire.This thesis consists of five chapters, namely description of task, description of procedure,interpretation preparation, case study and summary and conclusion. Description of taskconcerns the introduction of the task background and nature. Description of procedureintroduces the procedure of the task from pre-interpreting, interpreting process andpost-interpreting perspectives. Interpretation preparation gives a detailed description of all thepreparations I had made from three perspectives. Case study is the core of this thesis. In thischapter, several important issues in the interpreting process will be analyzed, aiming to findout what ability is needed to deal with this kind of interpreting task. Summary and conclusionconcerns a summary of some important issues in the whole process, serving as a direction ofimprovement in the future.
