This is a report for the translation project of Banking and Financial Institutions (Chapter1to Chapter4). It consists of five parts: The first part introduces the source andrequirements of the task, including a brief introduction of the writer and his works; thesecond part studies on the process of the whole translation; the third part introduces thetheoretical basis of translation Skopos theories by Hans J. Vermeer and translatoralternatively uses the translation method; the fourth part discusses the difficulties andproblems I met during translation and also explains the translation skills I took in this taskalong with some case analyses; the fifth part summarizes the lessons and reflections I gotfrom this translation task. Translation is not an easy thing. Sometimes the translator mayencounter many difficulties in the translation practice. But the translator must beresponsible for the original author and the reader of translation. It requires the translator toconstantly improve their professional accomplishment by hard work. It is important toreflect on the specific application of translation skills. Translators should make adequatepreparation before translation, especially to establish the glossary which can raiseefficiency.
