With the rapid development of the Internet, the internet network has gradually penetrated into the every corner of national economy and social life, becomes the collecting and distributing center where masses to publish various information, as well as an amplifier where to disseminate public opinions, hence form a new type of internet virtual society. Our country is in the key period of reform and burst of contradiction, various problems overlapping, internet public sentiment crisis and management has become one of the major topics among current public social management. Internet sentiment reflects the trend of public attitude, if not properly controlled in scientific means, it may turn to crisis under typical condition, its negative effect will lead public sentiment burst into crisis, social order becomes chaos hence form direct threat to social harmony and stability. Nowadays, how to further improve the awareness of internet public sentiment crisis management, actively prevent and deal with internet public sentiment crisis, constantly improve the internet public sentiment guiding and resolving mechanism, enhance the management level of internet virtual society and crisis control ability, has become the main task for all sectors of government to solve urgently, it also stands out as major topic that requires to be thought seriously and studied by academic circle.This thesis is the exploration towards internet public sentiment. It’s divided into six parts: first part is the introduction, took the lead to introduce the background and the significance of research on internet public sentiment crisis management; secondly through study and research of overseas’development in this domain, in comparison with domestic situation, draw lessons from advanced experience to clarify the framework and method of research. The second part is the rake comb to internet public sentiment crisis management, by gradually peeling layers from concept to the relevant theory to establish the foundation of theoretical research; the third part is by playing back of the "Guo Meimei" incident, to analyze in what particular area and specific time zone how internet public sentiment crisis would occur and in what trend of development. From the event description, process monitoring, route of transmission, source of public sentiment, internet communication, the official response, analysis of public sentiment etc trying to analyze and study from various angles to dig out series of issues that reflected by internet public sentiment crisis and management; the purpose of fourth part is to deeply research the impact that internet public sentiment crisis may bring and main root that cause it occurs; the fifth part focused on solution analysis, from the process of information collecting, precautionary monitoring, response communication, introduction of guidance, putting forward tailored management solutions, trying to build a systematic and regulated internet public sentiment crisis management system; the sixth part is the conclusion, summarizes the basic conclusion of this article, elaborated the presence of many weak points and regrets during the process of study and analysis.
