Since the application of “the11th five-year plan”, the development of the ruralcommunity construction and its informatization construction in our country havemade great achievements. Along with the step-by step perfection of the infrastructureconstruction and the popularity of network technical application both the constructionof information resources and the cultivation of user information ability acquiretremendous advance as well. The construction of rural community information service,which is attached great importance and paid close attention by the party and thegovernment, is an important part of informatization and modernization in our country.However, in realizing the magnificent targets of building the new socialist ruralcommunities and a harmonious socialist society, it is found that there is still a big gapbetween the current construction of rural-community information service and itsexpected target; with a few problems appearing in the construction process either.Therefore, from the perspective of the public, this article conducts an evaluation studyon rural community information service and builds the public satisfaction indexmodel of rural community information service; it has carried the evaluation on thespot and puts forward construction suggestions for the development of ruralcommunity information service. To be more specific, the article is manifested in thefollowing respects:Firstly, this article analyzes the research background of public satisfactionmeasurement for rural community information service, and put forwards the purposeand significance of this study. Through defining the related concepts, it analyzes theconnotation of rural community information service, and builds its theory frameworkfrom the aspect of characteristics, behavioral subject, object and constructive contentof rural community information service. Meanwhile, according to the customersatisfaction research achievement, it put forward the connotation of public satisfactionfor rural community information service, and carries on analyzing its influencingfactors and formation mechanism.Secondly, by analyzing the customer satisfaction index model and structuralequation model, using its modeling idea and method and combining with the actualsituation of rural community information service, this article scientifically andreasonably selects the latent variables and the measurable variables of public satisfaction for rural community information service. Then, it proposes hypothesisabout the structural relationships among variables, and eventually builds the publicsatisfaction index model for rural community information service.Finally, this article takes the rural community within Jiu Hua DemonstrationArea of Xiangtan city in Hunan province as the investigation subject, and it draws upquestionnaire by establishing index model, collects and analyzes the data by fieldsurvey. Thus, the article verifies the validity of the public satisfaction index model forrural community information service, and puts forward targetedcounter-measurements in order to improve public satisfaction measurement for ruralcommunity information service according to the specific measurement results ofvariables.
