The group of "Left-behind children in rural area"(hereafter called LCRA) has been emerged under our particular social and historical circumstances. During the rapid modernization and urbanization of China in recent years, tenth of millions of migrant workers went to city to work for a living. Because of the limitation related to their social status, living conditions and the policy restrictions in most cities, they can only leave their children in their hometown and let their parents, relatives or other guardians to take care of. The ideological and moral problems of LCRA not only have impact on the healthy growth of minors but also have impact on the construction of a new socialist rural area. In the ideological and moral formation, family emotions and education plays a very important role. If this part is missing, serious impact will occur on LCRA’s ideological and moral formation.This main purpose of this essay is, get the accurate ideological and moral conditions of LCRA and find out the existing problems. Regarding to this, sampling method has been adopted on some representative rural community. Results from the sampling questionnaires shown that:overall, there is no critical ideological and moral problems exists in LCRA. However, there are concerning problems exist on certain aspects, there are, ethical misconduct, ideal concept deviation, values dislocation and other obvious psychological problems.This paper argues that, main reasons which affecting LCRA’s ideological and moral conditions are:social system disorders, lack of family education and discomfort school moral education method. First of all,to strengthen ideological and moral construction of LCRA, the government should play the leading role, reform the urban and rural household registration system, in order to gradually eliminate barriers between urban and rural areas, establish and strengthen the LCRA welfare system; Secondly, strengthen the school’s educational function, make moral education comes the first, and strengthening the teaching staff; Last but not least, pay more attention on and improve family education, changing the concept of ideological and moral education of parents, under certain conditions, the government may intervene in the choice of guardian of LCRA.
