On-line measurement in NC machine tool is a development trend of high-end CNC machine tools. Don’t need to remove the artifacts and clam again with using the on-line measurement, complete the required parameters measurement on the machine directly, Which avoids because the need of detection such as the artifacts clamp repeatedly and the benchmark change impact on the detection precision, is beneficial to improve the production efficiency and guarantee the accuracy of measurement. This paper study of the CNC gear grinding machine on-line measurement system, In order to realize the CNC grinding machine on-line measurement of measuring tooth profile error and tooth alignment error and pitch errors were rapidly and accurately.First, in order to online measure the provisions of the gear machining error, analysis the principle of the CNC gear grinding machine on-line measurement establish on-line measurement model combining with the characteristics and structure of the CNC gear grinding machine, analysis based on coordinate measuring method of tooth profile error and tooth alignment error and pitch errors on-line measurement calculation and evaluation methods.Second, according to the CNC gear grinding machine on-line rapid and accurate measurement requirements, using automatic tracking measurement method of based on the curvature feature of measured object, analysis the positioning of the measuring probe and on-line measurement path planning of tooth profile error and tooth alignment error and pitch errors on-line measurement. In-depth analysis the working principle, radius compensation principle and method, the calibration method of the key components which is high-precision three-dimensional contact trigger type measuring probe of the CNC gear grinding machine online measuring system. According to the principle and characteristics of the measuring probe propose transmission rate measuring of on-line measuring, in order to improve the measurement efficiency.On this basis, analysis various modules and functions of the CNC gear grinding machine on-line measuring system, hardware and software support of the Siemens SINUMERIK840D numerical control system for the on-line measurement system, the key measuring instructions. Based on integrated gear closed loop processing and manufacturing of the online measurement of NC machine, Analysis integrated on-line measurement module of SINUMERIK840D software system, data structure, the general structure of the on-line measurement module and design and development methods of the on-line measurement software, secondary development of the SINUMERIK840D numerical control system and development of the corresponding on-line measurement module.Finally, analysis the effect of different sampling points on the measurement accuracy and different measurement rate on the measuring efficiency, validate the correctness of the CNC gear grinding machine on-line measuring principle and the data processing method. On the CNC gear grinding machine with SINUMERIK840D NC system conduct an experiment of different sampling points and the way of measuring the rate of on-line measurement, Obtain reference measurement rate of gear with specific parameters.
