The amount of Chinese modal verbs is small, but we use them frequently. They have special function in making sentences so that attract interests of scholars. Because of the influence of native language, Korean overseas students always have some error phenomenon when they learn Chinese modal verbs. We use the error phenomenon of HSK composition corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University as study material and classify these errors. Then we study the causes of the appearance of error phenomenon based on the classification. From the reality of resolving error phenomenon, we design three instructional strategies directly which can provide effective help for Korean students to learn Chinese modal verbs.Before all others, this paper gives summary analysis of native and foreign studies of Chinese modal verbs. It analyses the current study state which makes foundation of our study. Then we give examples of Chinese modal verbs of "a"、"ne" to make an analysis of the learning of Chinese modal verbs of Korean students. We use the corpus of HSK composition of Beijing Language and Culture University as study scope and make error analysis of "a" and "ne", especially the types and causes of error. Finally, we study the countermeasures of error, viewed from teaching and learning of Chinese modal verbs of Korean students.
