A Comparative Study Of Chinese And Korean Adverbs Of Degree

Both modern Korean and Chinese have adverbs. In adverb, degree adverb is a important part in grammar and also a important way to express degree. Although the amount of degree adverb is not too much, only around a dozen, but they are used frequently. Because degree adverbs express different degree, so their usages in Chinese and Korean are also different. Besides the degree adverbs is not completely the same of usage between Chinese and Korean. Main usage of degree adverb is to qualify psychological verb, adjective and also noun. In grammar, they have same place and also different place.Korean students who learning Chinese would make bias error easily when learning the degree adverbs. These bias errors would influence accuracy of expression directly. Learner only by correcting mistake repeatedly, they can approach Chinese formal form. Based on the former research about the degree adverbs of Chinese and Korean, we focus on "a little","very","too","quite" and "extremely" to compare these degree adverbs between Chinese and Korean. To explain a point of sameness and difference between two languages. Comparing the both two languages, it will be benefit Korean to learn the degree adverbs of Chinese.
