Higher education reform and development in China has made historicalachievement since its reform and opening up program started over thirty years ago,and China has become a power in higher education. Currently, the country is in-depthcarrying out the strategy of rejuvenating the nation through science and education andthe strategy of making the nation strong by relying on talents or professionals,implementing National Plan for Medium and Long-term Education Reform andDevelopment in an all-round way, and speeding up the transition from the world’slargest higher education system to one of the world’s best.To build the nation into a power to be reckoned with in the global highereducation landscape, raise higher education quality in an all-round way, speed up theconstruction and development of universities and colleges and improve the overallstrength and competitiveness need the joint efforts and struggle of university faculty,staff and all the sectors. As the connecting and coordinating link in universities andschools, university and college offices, generally integrated sectors, bear the duties ofcomprehensive coordination, advice assistant, bridge and supervision, and playsignificant role in the development of universities and colleges.Centering on job burnout of university office staff, the current paper combs theconcepts and theories related to job burnout on the basis of relevant research. TakingJD University as the research target case, integrated with sampling survey andinterviews of job burnout in JD university office staff, it conducts a detailed analysison the reasons contributing to job burnout in university office staff from the followingthree aspects: individual factor, occupational factor and organizational factor. Somecoping strategies have been put forward from the individual and organizationalperspectives respectively.
