With the development of contemporary, foreign history textbooks paid more andmore attentions to historical figures, our country also increasingly emphasison the multifaceted comment on historical figures. Historical figures is inseparable tothe development of history, they affect the formation anddevelopment of student’s emotional attitude and values.Thus, the comment of historical figures is essential. Therefore, after the newcurriculum, our country set a history elective course “Historical figures’ comment”inhigh school.But after the new curriculum, most attentions werepaid on the compulsory course in high school,the concern for elective course is notenough. Therefore, this paper select the elective course“Historical figures’comment”(people’s edition) in high school make a research.In this paper, through the analysis of the new curriculum, contrast between old and new history textbooks we found that the new textbook pay more attentionto the topic form and interface between the various parts in content structure andsetting. Textbooks choose foreign historical figures, eds., Set the activity classes. All these highlighted the advantages of new history textbooks after the curriculum.However, less social concern paid on the elective course in high school.writers choose material only from their own opinion or the new curriculum, far away fromthe students’ real life. This will inevitably lead to weakness of elective textbookin content layout and materials set, such as: Choice of historical figures, layout of historical figures, overlapping in elective textbooks and compulsory textbooks. This weakness will reduce the quality of elective materials,also not conducive to th e improvement of students’ abilities and the formation of emotional attitude and values.So this paper select the elective course“Historical figures’ comment”(people’s edition) in high school make a research and proposals. Targeted supplementary textbook set of teaching materials and presented so that students better learn to accept, thereby enhancing students’ reading ability and self-learning ability and emotional attitude and values of high school students have a positive impact.The Preparation of textbooks should also have fun, it can arouse students’ interests and according to the actual situation of the students’ cognitive, physical, mental and age makeSelective trade-offs, processing, transformation in a large amount of historical materials. The Selected historical figures and historical events can inspire thinking, induce true knowledge, promote righteousness.
