The junior high school art is a compulsory course for all students of junior high schools in the compulsory education period, which belongs to Essential-Quality-Oriented Education.Junior school students, in the teenager period, have had aesthetic orientation of their own, appreciate and evaluate arts, but they are not much mature and lack ability for distinguishing kindness, beauty and truth, even though they have had much knowledge, more thinking and imagining abilities, as well as contact with lots of art works and knowledge of arts.As aesthetic education course of comprehensive development set in the middle school, it would help them foster the ability for appreciate the arts. And then they’d have ability for appreciate the arts increasingly, set up aesthetic standard, aesthetic ideal and aesthetic interest automatically.Currently, the art education was incompatible with Quality-oriented Education in junior middle school. Firstly, not all the students are interested in arts in practical teaching; secondly, art is not the course with the requiring entry test for high schools; thirdly, the teachers of arts have low qualities in teaching; fourthly, the teaching method of arts is one-size-fits-all and uninteresting.As a teacher of arts working in a junior school, I have introduced happy teaching method in the art course after several years of exploration, which would enter into the students’learning-space easily and harmoniously, thus, it would simulate the interest of learning arts effectively.Only in this way, the students could think learning arts at school is very happy and the life needs rather than the burden of life. As well as, their weariness mentality during the original forced learning activities would be eased through teaching power.Though the survey, consulting literature, concluding and summing-up etc, the article presents the happy teaching method as well as the importance of the adopted means in the art teaching.The era calls for happy teaching, art course of junior school needs the happy teaching urgently, the key is how to carry out the happy teaching. Therefore, happy teaching is the prerequisite for constructing an equal and harmonious bond between teachers and students. Besides, it is also important to create a pleasant leaning environment. And the core is to use all kinds of means and methods for carrying out happy teaching.Developing the art interest for the student in the pleasant atmosphere can not only improve the teaching quality in class and comprehensive developing quality of students, but also simulate the student’inner potential, so that they are able to study independently, freely and happily.
