The exploition of curriculum resources is the important element of forming curriculum reform supporting system. The expoition of geography curriculum resources is the important guarantee for the implementation of new geography curriculum resources, and how to exploit them fully and effectively is the problem which we have to solve. Therefore, this paper has discussed the development and utilization of geography curriculum resources for Mongolian students in Xilingol Mongolian high schools and has found out it has certain theoretical and practical meaning to promote development of geography teaching in Xilingol, to improve the curriculum development awareness of teachers, to cultivate students’practical ability, to inherit and carry forward the fine traditional cultures in Xilingol.Xilingol is located in the central region of Inner Mongolian Plateau, and high plains are its main components. It is located in the west of Singanense, in the north of Yin mouantains, and located deeply in inland. There is little summer monsoon and it is broadly influenced by winter monsoon, so it is cold in winter and warm in summer, and the ranges of temperature is big and it is windy and sandy. Xilingol grassland is internationally well-known by its primitiveness, simpleness, broadness and integrity. In1987, it was admitted into the network membership of mankind and biosphere reserve by UNESCO. In our counrty, it it the unique national natural reserve area, which has taken grassland as its whole ecosystem. Having special productive life styles is an indispensable agrestic resource of geography teaching in Xilingol and it is also significant to geography teaching of this area. Of course, not all agrestic geography resources are adoptted by geography teaching. It needs to combine the resources and geography curriculum objectives, needs to filter and process and finally it can be applied into geography classroom teaching.In this paper, the author mainly adopts the literature method, questionnaire survey, on-the-spot investigation method, interview method and education research method so on. Through reading lots of literature, the author wrote a literature review, and do questionnaire to high school geography teacher in various leagues in Xilingol area, and found in the high school geography curriculum resource development, a space of conduct geographical curriculum resources is narrow; Lack of geography in senior high school geography teaching experiment; lack of the school geography curriculum resource development, etc.According to geography curriculum resources development principles, the writer summarizes the geography curriculum resources development principles of Xilingol Mongolian high school; it can be divided into comprehensive principle, pertinence principle, practicality principle and characteristic development principle.And on the existing problems with the high school geography teaching material, depend on High school geography teaching material, in-depth development of geography teaching resources in the process of the school curriculum resources development and, make full use of school facilities resources; Explore campus environment resources; Actively develop geographical experiment resources. Outside school geography curriculum resources will be combined with the teaching goal, the agrestic geography practical application into classroom teaching.Through this study on Xilingol Mongolian high school geography curriculum resources development, find conclusions as follow:teachers play a positive role in the high school geography curriculum resources development; in the intramural curriculum resources development attaches great importance to the geography experimental curriculum resources; the geography curriculum resources development should combine outside resource and inside resource.
