It has gone through more than10years for the eighth curriculum reform of basic education. During these years, Geography curriculum reform has also changed a lot. To establish Geography laboratory at junior high school, it is just the variety for the geography curriculum in the stage of compulsory education. The writer put in order the construction of geography laboratory and literatures, according to these, he expounds the theoretical considerations of the construction of junior high school geography laboratory, the process of the building in the early and the perfect process. Refer to the practical work on the construction of junior high school geography laboratory, he also showed his own ideas. The whole text is divided into six parts.The leading is the introduction part. At first, the writer combined his own work experience and the basic theory, he showed the reasons for the text. According to the practical activities of building and using the geography laboratory at junior high school, he expounded the theoretical significance and the practical meanings.The second part is the review of the literature and the concept definition. First, the writer reviewed the topics about the geography laboratory and the construction. Then, according to the early study and the need of this text, he definite the ideas about the geography experiment, geography experiment teaching and the geography laboratory.The third part is the theoretical considerations about the construction of junior high school geography laboratory. It includes the theoretical basis and the basic principle of the construction of junior high school geography laboratory. The theoretical basis includes the theory of the new geography curriculum and the learning theory of Constructivism, situated cognition and theory of learning, the basic principle includes the principle of relevance, the principle of antonomy and the principle of practice.In the fourth part, the writer combined the practical activity in the construction of junior high school geography laboratory in A Banner, Hulun Buir city, he packed up the beginning process of the junior high school geography laboratory. The beginning process includes six steps:organize teachers to have on-site inspection, forming the geography laboratory’s embryonic form; write feasibility report, fighting or the supporting of special funds; decorating the geography laboratory;thinking about how to plan and program the geography laboratory; collecting geography teaching tools, buying basic equipment; laying down the rules and regulations, choosing special persons to manage.In the fifth part, the writer combined the practical activity in the construction of junior high school geography laboratory in A Banner Hulun Buir city, he also packed up the perfect process of junior high school geography laboratory.At first, the writer analyses the teaching results after the teachers used the geography laboratory, then he expounded the improvement measures after the laboratory was built.The last part is the conclusion. The writer combined the process of the construction of junior high school geography laboratory, he got three conclusions:’man’ is the starting point in the construction of junior high school geography laboratory, it is also the foothold, and it is still the anchor point; the construction of junior high school geography laboratory should be on the basis of the idea:early building is the basis, using is the rule, improvement is the important line.
