With a special module setting up to write characters in textbook compilation in the textbook curriculum reform, status of historical figures in the history teaching in high school is more and more important. However, study on the preparation of figures in the history textbooks is lack of scientific and technological characters. To remedy this defect, practice the curriculum standards and requirements, raises student’s scientific spirit, so that they can understand the important effect of science and technology of life. This paper takes Zhan Tianyou as an example, which contact high school history of compulsory and elective content effectively as a character of science and technology, and takes the lesson about him in the high school history textbooks elective fourth published by People’s Education Press, People’s press, Yuelu Press and Beijing Normal University Press as analysis object. This paper analyzes the statistics about the style of writing structure, question design and content selection, find the problems and their reasons, and give some suggestions in order to solve these problems and improve the textbooks compilation about characters of science and technology.The details of this paper consists of four parts:The first part is "The statistical analysis of style, structure and question design of the lesson about Zhan Tianyou in different versions", which mainly analyzes the statistics about the text system and the auxiliary system of texts, also the question design in the auxiliary system of the lesson about Zhan Tianyou in these four different versions.The second part is "The statistical analysis of content writing of the lesson about Zhan Tianyou in different versions", which mainly analyzes the statistics about the content selection and presentation, language expression and connection of the lesson about Zhan Tianyou in these four different versions..The third part is "The problems and their reasons in the lesson about the character of science and technology Zhan Tianyou", which expounds problems of the lesson about Zhan Tianyou in these four different versions, and analyzes the reasons for these problems.The fourth part is "Suggestions on compiling characters of science and technology in high school history textbooks", which gives some suggestions on compiling characters of science and technology in high school history textbooks, aiming at problems of the lesson about Zhan Tianyou and the reasons for these problems.
