Since the beginning of this century, China’s rapid economic development, social living level improved steadily, be on the upgrade of education. Countries in the basic education, continue to deepen curriculum in primary and secondary schools, the new art curriculum reform in the nationwide, one has to face the reality show in front of us:that is the rural art education and art education differs significantly from the city, the national goal of art education is not easy to reach, serious impact on the overall level of our elementary education. The main reasons are:The first backward economy is the direct cause of art education, such as teaching equipment is old, they’re unable to retain talent. The second idea is backward, the school only pay more attention to the enrollment rate, has nothing to do with rates only set aside. The third, national support music education policy, even if the policy to implement the local government also difficult to implement. The forth social, school, family of music education in rural areas lack of emphasis, environment influence and so on, the music education in rural areas is facing tremendous challenges. So to call on more experts, scholars, educators pay more attention to the music education of rural primary and secondary schools, to solve practical problems, in order to improve the current situation of music education in rural primary and middle schools. This is the significance of the author’s writing. In recent years, pay attention to the rural art education, based on the practical investigation on the rural education in the arts, it is very important and urgent, with theoretical research and practical significance. Based on the literature review, this paper takes the current situation of middle school music education in rural areas of Mishan city as the research object and field investigation, mainly carries on the practice research of rural middle school music education in Mishan City, as well as the research and the echoes of the content, such as equity of urban and rural education, development status and strategy of music teachers, government, school, social, family influence on rural music, explore the causes of its formation and development direction, and to provide reference for the Education Department of Mishan city. Therefore, pay more attention to music education in rural areas and rural music education backward problem imminent, to pay attention to the music education in rural caused more people.
