In recent years, higher vocational education in China has made remarkable development. As the main force, higher vocational schools play important roles in the development of Higher Vocational Education today. However, it can not be ignored that vocational education in China started late, the shortage of resources, especially the shortage of training bases and good teachers is the major issues facing many vocational schools. School-enterprise cooperation is a cooperative mode, which integrates the resources of schools and enterprise to improve school operating efficiency and help the enterprise to increase profits. This research integrates the data collected from a school and analyzes the problems of vocational school investment appeared in the operation of school-enterprise cooperation in China, and tries to put forward some suggestions.This research is divided into four chapters based on theoretical explanations, case studies, problem-asking and problem-solving. The first chapter describes the reasons of choosing the topic, the research background and significance, the research ideas and methods as well as literature commentary at home and abroad. The second chapter describes the three theoretical bases of this study, respectively, New Institutional Economics, Human Capital Theory and Human Behavior Income Hypothesis. The definitions of higher vocational education and school-enterprise cooperation are also displayed in this chapter. Chapterâ…¢ is a part of survey research, describes the entire course of the investigation, shows the interview record of the leadership in school H and summarizes the existing problems appeared in school-enterprise cooperation of school H. The indifference of enterprises, the imperfection of the organization, the indefinite powers and responsibilities between schools and enterprises, the backward of educational philosophy and the lack of scientific evaluation system are the main problems in school-enterprise cooperation. Suggestions part, on the basis of the reasons, tries to raise suggestions from management of training bases, institutional settings, educational philosophy, and the evaluation system and to provide a reference for improving the effectiveness of school-enterprise cooperation in China.
