Internationlization has become a global trend of the development of education in the rapiddevelopment of science and technology and information, it is not only an ideal of education but also aworldwide educational practice. The internationalization of education is common direction of worldeducation reform in the21st century, it is the key to improve the country’s competitiveness. In order toimprove the level of internationalization of higher vocational education, the Australian Government hasadjust on international education policy, and it has gradually obtained the characteristic internationaldevelopment strategy for higher vocational education. Australia has become exporting countries of thevocational education only after20years of hard work from importing countries of the vocational education.So we can learn the experience of internationalization of higher vocational education in Australia.The analysis of social background of internationalization of higher vocational education inAustralia reveals the international run school is an inevitable choice of vocational education developmentfor the trend of the development economic globalization, cultural diversity, as well as the informationnetwork. The thesis introduces the historical examination of the internationalization of higher vocationaleducation in Australia. From1950s to the late1970s, the policy of overseas students in Australia considered"aid" as the main feature, this period is called the period of foreign aid. From the mid-1980s onwards,Australia transnational education entered into the period of the foreign trade. The trade of transnationaleducation had great achievement in the level and the scale of education, but the freedom of export tradecaused a host of social problems. In order to curb the spread of these social ills and protect the quality andefficiency of the education trade services, the Australian Government increased the legal norms oftransnational education from the mid-1990s, the running of internationalization of higher vocationaleducation in Australia accessed into the period of legalization.The research discussed the Australia internationalization of model of school-running fromeducational concept, curriculum system, teacher staff, the form of school-running. Australia attached greatimportance to vocational education quality in order to make the world education brand. In order to train theinternationalized personnel, Australia not only made the original course internationalization and but also increased international significance of course. Australian made the standard of the international teachers’employment system and established the international teacher assessment and training system. The Australiaha a bit of higher level of the internationalization of higher vocational education, it still cooperated theforeign countries in school-running, established overseas branch, open distance education in addition torecruit overseas students. The summary of the experience of Australian internationalization of the highervocational education aims to put forward the countermeasures and suggestions for the internationalizationof the higher vocational education of the China.In order to speed up the process of internationalization of the Chinese higher vocationaleducation and cultivate international talents, it is necessary to update the educational concept, promoteinternational mobility of teachers and students, develop various forms of cooperation with foreign countriesand explore the internationalization of higher vocational education mode of school-running in china.
