In order to realize the great Chinese dream, our country should cultivate more innovative talents,which is just what the new curriculum reform calls for. Since2010, all the provinces in china haveimplemented the new curriculum reform for a few years, the inquiry teaching, considered as an importantpart of the new curriculum reform, isn’t carried out well.According the problems existing in the inquiry teaching, I make some survey as following.Why the implementation of the inquiry teaching is not optimistic, and what are the factors affectingteaching?How does the high school physics teachers treat the inquiry teaching?What kinds of lessons are suitable for inquiry teaching course by the investigation and Research onthe high school curriculum?What are the advantages of the inquiry teaching?In this paper, the author researches on the above problems, by means of observation, interview,questionnaire and teaching experiment and obtain the following conclusions:First of all, the main factors: on the hand, the present evaluation system restricts many high schoolphysics teachers’ thought. They are entangled in the traditional teaching mode, and believe that traditionalteaching is better than inquiry. They think students learn more knowledge by traditional teaching; On theother hand, teachers do not grasp the meaning of inquiry teaching. They always regard experiments asexploring experimental teaching. What is more, there are lack of teachers, teaching laboratories andexperimental equipment. Secondly, the most significant in this study is that the author makes a servey on ten samples of highschool in PingDingShan through questionnaires. Finally, the author gets a clean idea what kinds of chaptersin the textbooks are suitable for inquiry teaching. The latter become the reference of teaching. Moreover,the author sums up a kind of teaching mode like “Exhibition—Inquiry—Practice”, which can be of greathelp to other teachers.Finally, inquiry teaching proves advanced through the author’s personal education experience, and itcan improve students’ learning interest and ability.
