According to the present situation of the employment of graduates of private universities in China, this paper puts forward the measures to solve the problem. Since1999, China’s higher schools have implemented the Education Enrollment Expansion Policy, which makes the number of graduates increased year by year. College Students’ employment is essential to improve the quality of life of citizens. Since2008, Chinese economy development speed has been set slow along with the world economic crisis and the slowdown is also in China’s private universities. On the one hand, the graduates trained are restricted by objective inferior position, on the other hand, the national and public policy discriminates them to some extent. Therefore, how to solve these problems becomes the first and foremost job to improve the employment of college students. According to the study of Education Functionalism, the difficult problem of employment of graduates lies in the fact that the young men trained can not effectively meet the demand of market. The mechanism of market-demanded talents is very important for higher education, and social stratification research pointed out that at present the research on the relationship between graduates at different classes and employment opportunities differences is rare.Take the employment situation of graduates of Qingdao Institute of technology as an example, the college extends new ideas, strengthens service, actively organizes fair employment, recruitment, and based on the advantage of being the only college in Jiaozhou, takes active visits to the enterprises and various trade associations in order to understand their employing demands, and recommend the graduates to obtain employment. During the past three years, the school contacted more than2800employers, visited more than150enterprises, and organized large and medium-sized campus recruitment. As a result, during the recent three years, the employment rate of graduates from Qingdao Institute of Technology increased year by year and the graduates can choose jobs in different directions according to their own needs. Through the survey and interview to the graduates of Qingdao Institute during the past three years, it draws out a conclusion that the influencing factors of affecting the employment of graduates of private college are as follows, first, social and business discrimination; second, lack of national policy support; third, the low visibility of private university in the community and so on. At present, there are a lot of factors causing the low employment of the private college graduates. Firstly, factors for the private colleges and universities’ own sake:(1) low visibility and credibility;(2) the contradiction of employment structure, talent training and the demand of the market;(3) lack of guidance towards graduate employment problem;(4) private college students with low quality. Secondly, factors of private college students themselves also affect their employment:(1)failure to correctly plan life with employment concept defects;(2) immature employment psychological problems of being anxious for success and inferiority;(3) their low comprehensive quality and lack of practical ability. Thirdly, factors of social policy causing problems in private college graduates employment also exist.(1) inefficient social policy environment;(2) the lack of corresponding policies to eliminate social discrimination in private university;(3) students of poor quality and uneven foundation due to lack of policy support,;(4) graduates having mainly the academic degree;(5) two kinds of the students source structure with three uneven distribution levels;(6) low degree of national support, little investment in the college construction, and lack of support policies to capitalization. In addition, private colleges and universities are "public welfare" rather than "profit-making entities", so the government should take measures like making policies of interest-free, low interest, or subsidies and other preferential policies, increasing the financing way of private colleges and universities to guarantee the private colleges funds circulation and improve the ability to resist risks. The current employment policy works against private college graduates, which will bring a series of problems, including:employment of graduates from rural areas becomes a serious social problem; difficulty in employment of vulnerable groups will affect the rational flow of social classes; the difficult employment also has indirect effect towards college students; the difficult employment of private university graduates also becomes the burden of private colleges and universities.To solve the employment problems of graduates of private colleges is a long term process. With the development and improvement of the national economy, the government has developed some beneficing policies to promote the employment of graduates. Governments at all levels should take the development of private education as an important job, which should strengthen the planning and management of private higher education, set up majors meeting the market demand; improve the treatment of graduates; improve the quality of teachers, at the same time, improve both national support or school employment service level, improve service and management level of private education, enhance responsibility to establish high levels of private university, strengthen the leadership of establishment of the working organs of high level of private university, give the emphasis to solve the weak link, deepen the reform of talent training, in this way to make enough efforts to have the trained talents adapt to the requirement of market economy.
