The employment of college students is not only related to the interests of development and future, but also related to the harmony and stability of the healthy development of higher education and society. The growth and development of private higher education has made a great contribution to the transformation from "elite higher education" to "mass higher education". However, massification of higher education will bring the obstacles of the employment. Compared with public colleges, private colleges have congenitally deficient in school conditions, school reputation, faculty, education quality and social recognition and so forth. It is the survival in the crevice. Currently, while talking the employment problem of university students, almost all studies have focused on employment rate, only a few studies focused on the employment quality. Especially, the problem how to improve employment quality of private college graduates has become the urgent theme of higher education. In the thesis, taking Zhengzhou K College as an example, using the data from a questionnaire survey of first job quality, it is described the current status of employment quality of the K colleges, analyzed the causes of lower employment quality, and proposed some suggestions. The writer hopes it will bring some advances to the improvement of graduate employment quality at private colleges.The thesis is divided into four main parts as following:To begin with, is introduction to the background, significance of writing this paper, literature review, and research design as well;Then, are definitions of core academic expressions which issue in thesis, such as employment, rate of employment, quality of employment, and so on. On the basis of a investigation, it is put forward some indexes for measuring the employment quality of private college graduates and analyzed the impact on the employment quality of graduates by the nature of public or private colleges.Furthermore, is a empirical study, in which 2 grades (grade 2010 and grade 2011) and 500 graduates in Zhengzhou K College are included in as the investigation objects. On basis of statistical analysis, it is revealed status quo of graduate employment quality from several main indexes and explored internal and external contributory factors of graduate employment quality at Zhengzhou K College.The last but not the least, the three alternative strategies are proposed, such as:to optimize the graduate employment guidance, to change the social stereotype on private colleges and their graduates as well as employment standards of employers, to make a reasonable adjustment to specialty establishment and good improvement on talented quality and an effective enhancement on student career life guidance as well at private colleges.
