Self-esteem refers to individual in the process of social comparison on to get a positive, positive evaluation and experience; it is for individuals to form healthy psychology and high levels of self-esteem has a positive impact. In the phase of high school students in physical and mental maturity, bring huge pressure because they face the university entrance exam, only studying your too busy to he. Parents and teachers are also very concerned about their academic performance, ignoring their psychological health development.This study from the Angle of sociology, self-esteem level of high school students to do a thorough discussion, through to the Wuxi city four different types schools of high school students questionnaire survey and case interview, part investigates the basic situation of the high self-esteem level analyzes the personal factors, family factors, school factors and social cultural factors influence on high school students self-esteem levels, and tentatively puts forward some Suggestions countermeasures. Research shows that Wuxi city high school students overall self-esteem level is good; the score was31.32, for the high levels of self-esteem. The self-esteem level of a minimum of10points, a maximum of40points, reflecting the development of Wuxi city high school students’ self-esteem level shows the unbalanced characteristics. And the study found that personal factors, family factors, school factors and social cultural factors impact on high school students’ self-esteem level are. Among them, the Wuxi city high school students self-esteem level in grade, whether it is only children, parents educational level, family economic conditions, the types of schools, is for the student cadres, exist significant differences on academic achievement, but in terms of gender, family type does not exist significant differences. Self-esteem level at the same time, high school students and teacher-student relationship, peer relationship, family upbringing and its appearance also has a certain relationship.The hair of the self-esteem level of high school students’ mental health and personality has a great relationship. Therefore, the government should play, family, school and social education advantages of (community), set up family education, school education, social and cultural education connect with each other. Coordinate and complement each other and form combined force of education, in order to improve high school students’ self-esteem levels provide a harmonious environment, thus promoting their psychological health development.
