With the rapid development of socio-economic and the intensifying of competition, especially thespreading and deepening of the basic curriculum reform, teachers are asked for a higher request, which putmore pressure on teachers. When teacher’s job pressure can not be effectively alleviated, job burnout willcome to produce. Focus on teacher’s job burnout is of great significance, it is not only conducive tomaintain teachers’ physical and mental health, so as to promote teacher’s professional development andstable teachers; more can promote the students to develop healthily and comprehensively. However, in thepast research on teacher’s job burnout, most is for the whole group of the middle school teachers, and littleis for a particular subject. Teachers of different disciplines in different regions, affected by various factors,job burnout situation may be different. Based on this idea, this article cites Henan Province as an exampleand cites the geography teachers in junior high school of Henan18cities as study object, junior high schoolgeography teachers’ job burnout status quo were analyzed through interviews and questionnaires, and theinfluence factors were regression analyzed, and on this basis, strategies to ease the junior high schoolgeography teachers’ job burnout of Henan Province were put forward.Based on the teacher’s job burnout theories and existing research results, this article studied aboutthe junior high school geography teachers’ job burnout situation of Henan Province and its influencingfactors. In the study, qualitative and quantitative research methods were take and quantitative research wasthe primary means. The questionnaire was middle school geography teacher’s job burnout questionnairewhich is made based on Maslach job burnout questionnaire, combined with geography teachers’ actualwork situation, and makes a little modification. The results show that:On the whole, the junior high school geography teachers in Henan Province have mild degree ofjob-burnout. Emotion exhaustion dimension has moderate burnout, depersonalization and low sense ofachievement dimensions have mild degree of burnout.From the contrast research, found that junior high school geography teachers with differentschool area, gender, age, school age, salary, school type, teach grade, education, job title, served as theteacher in charge or not and marital have difference in job burnout and its three dimensions. In job-burnout, the factor which has a significant difference is school area; In the dimension of emotional exhaustion, thefactors which have significant difference are gender, job title and age; In the dimension ofdepersonalization, the factors which have significant difference are school area, gender, age, marital andschool age; In the dimension of low sense of accomplishment, the factors which have significant differenceare gender, education, job title, served as the teacher in charge or not, salary, age, marital and school age;The factors of school type and teach grade have no significant difference in job-burnout and its threedimensions.According to the junior high school geography teachers’ job burnout situation of Henan Province,this article made a regression analysis of the demographic variables and external factors and draw out themain demographic variables and external factors which affected junior high school geography teachers’ jobburnout of Henan Province. The demographic variables which affected more on junior high schoolgeography teachers’ job burnout are as follows: school age, marital, school area, age, salary, education,served as the teacher in charge or not, gender, job title, etc. The external factors which affected more onjunior high school geography teachers’ job burnout are as follows: not concerned about the professionaldevelopment of teachers, the rigid school management system, low salary and benefit of teachers, thecurrent examination-oriented education system, low social status of teachers, little space for personaldevelopment, social expectations is too high, teachers’ evaluation system is imperfect, geography isneglected, etc. According to the main factors affected Junior high school geography teachers’ job burnoutget from the empirical research, this article proposes some strategies effectively to alleviate the junior highschool geography teachers’ job burnout, such as promote geography teachers’ professional development,reform school management and evaluation system, improve the status of geography, improve geographyteachers’ salary, improve the social status of geography teachers, establish reasonable expectation ongeography teachers.The innovation of this research is first highlighting the area and discipline characteristics ofteacher’s job burnout, citing the junior high school geography teachers in Henan Province as the researchobject; secondly the integrated use of a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods andthe factors affected junior high school geography teachers’ job burnout were regression analyzed.
