21st century is the era of the knowledge economy. Education, highereducation in particular, has become a dominant factor and force for socialdevelopment from the edge to the center of the society. Just relying onregular higher education has been difficult to improve citizens’quality,let alone to grow a number of new talents to meet the marketing economyrequirements. It is be imperative to make some transforms on thetraditional education system. Thus, non-governmental higher vocationaleducation came into being. the Non-state Education Promotion Law of thePeople’s Republic of China and other relevant regulations promulgated andapplied have brought unprecedented opportunities to the birth anddevelopment of non-governmental higher vocational education.The growth of non-governmental higher vocational education willproduce a positive and profound influence on such aspects as optimizingeducation resources, expanding consumption, and cultivating the neededtalents, etc. Meanwhile, it is vital on how to develop non-governmentalhigher vocational education correctly in the long process. To determinethe construction scale rationally at the time of great development, toshift the focus to the connotation construction on time before thelarge-scale construction is nearing completion, to allocate the financialand human resources reasonably to increase investment in education andto study how to improve the management level and quality of education,are all the problems that are needed to be settled in order to implementa scientific outlook on development. It is of great significance to runa vocational college through cooperation between schools and enterpriseson the development of vocational colleges and the growth of skilledtalents, especially when Chinese vocational education is still at theexploration stage during the period of social transformation. Tostrengthen the cooperation between colleges and enterprises becomes an important strategic choice of vocational and technical educationdevelopment in China.In the first part, the author put forwards necessity of implementingvocational education models of school-enterprise cooperation in view ofthe current status of the development of higher vocational education inChina. The author also analyzed the overview of the cooperation betweenschool and enterprise talent at home and abroad, and summarized currentresearch situation at home and abroad.In the second part, the author defined “vocational education” and“vocational education models of school-enterprise cooperation”,elaborated its background To illustrate the necessity of implementationof school-enterprise cooperation.In the third part, the significance of school-enterprise cooperationexplained in detail to illustrate the process of development of vocationalcolleges in China, the implementation of school-enterprise cooperationtremendous positive effect: school-enterprise cooperation can play bothschools and enterprises advantage, the advantage of complementary andshared resources; conducive to the increasing strength of the highervocational colleges; construction of teachers to promote the "double";able to implement the combination of education with productive laboreducation policy;Changing an important measure of China’s educationinvestment system.The fourth part, the main foreign school-enterprise cooperation modeintroduced, such as Germany’s "dual system" as well as Australia’s TAFE"mode.
