Like general students, vigorous and energetic college impoverished students have their own ambitions and objectives. However, they encounter many vexed obstacles beyond their capabilities on the way of study due to awful family financial situation. Hence, the government should provide them economic and moral support for the purpose of fostering the pillars of society and making them grow up healthily like the other young while completing studying successfully.The government aids financially to the impoverished students in varied forms, including national scholarship, national encouragement scholarship, national defense fellowship for national defense students, scholarships and grants in many colleges and special scholarships established by schoolfellow. Meanwhile, many social foundations provide one-to-one financial support to some particular students. All the above-mentioned various types undoubtedly provide powerful support. However, these exists deficiencies, such as insufficient social awareness, limited funding coverage and imperfect supporting system, etc. These problems should be captured with the least delay to encourage college students to complete their study better and make contribution to the society.The paper elaborates the funding mechanism of college impoverished students in China. Emphasis is put on the research of Guangxi impoverished students funding system to find out the existing problems and reasons. Countermeasures are put forward to build a scientific, reasonable, fair, righteous, public and supervisory Guangxi college impoverished students funding mechanism to bring the functions of safeguarding mechanism, alleviating poverty and cultivating talents into good performance.
