On The Talent Requirement And Innovation Capability Cultivating Of Postgraduate Of Library, Information And Archive Management

Postgraduate education is the highest level of education in China. Therefore, toimprove the quality of the postgraduate education and to cultivate high-level moderntalents with strong innovation capacity is an important mission and responsibility of theunits of postgraduate education and educators. Postgraduate education of Library,Information and Archive Management is an important part of postgraduate education. Itshould embody the requirement and trends of education development. However, thereexist different kinds of problems in the process of postgraduate cultivation of Library,Information and Archive Management, which leads to the general insufficient of students’innovation ability. Thus, it can’t meet the needs of talents in social development.Therefore, how to promote the quality of Postgraduate of Library, Information andArchive Management, especially their innovation ability, and how to cultivate thehigh-quality innovative talents must be paid much attention and be solved at once. Thisthesis, based on the first discipline of library information and archive management, makesan in-depth study on the talent requirement and innovation ability cultivation of thepostgraduate students of Library, Information and Archive Management. It aims to providesome practical suggestions and theoretical guidance for the innovation ability cultivationof the postgraduate students of Library, Information and Archive Management.This thesis mainly focuses on the problems of the talent demand and the innovationability cultivation. Firstly, based on the first discipline of library information and archivemanagement and the survey data, this thesis will analyzes the current situation, the existedproblems and will explain the reasons of the talents demand and innovation abilitycultivation of the postgraduate students of Library, Information and Archive Management.Then, it will compare the present cultivating mode of the postgraduate students of Library,Information and Archive Management with the past. On the one hand, it will analyze thepostgraduate students’ situation in Library, Information and Archive Management inChina, including their training goal, cultivating limit, training direction, courses andtraining mode. On the other hand, it will select a few representative universities andcompares their training goal, cultivating limit, training direction, courses and trainingmode of the postgraduate students of Library, Information and Archive Management.In order to improve the current situation of the needs and innovation cultivation ofpostgraduate students of Library, Information and Archive Management, to improve thestudents’ professional competence and to guarantee the healthy and steady development of Library, Information and Archive Management, we should adopt several measures. First ofall, we should have a correct understanding of the index connotation of the graduatestudents’ innovation ability, they are, social practice innovation ability, scientific researchinnovation ability, professional and technical innovation ability. Specifically, it will bestudied from the content construction, the cultivation mode, the cultivation scheme and theeffectiveness evaluation of the cultivation. In addition, based on the structure of the firstlevel of discipline and the social demand, this thesis suggests that we should deepen thereform of teaching of the first level of discipline, enhance the countermeasure ofentrepreneurial education and innovation education and cultivate innovative,entrepreneurial, applied and compound talents by integrating their social practiceinnovation ability, scientific research innovation ability, professional and technicalinnovation ability.
